Hair Transplant for Women


Female hair transplantation is a microsurgical procedure that offers a permanent solution to women who have experienced hair loss. The hair transplant operation is performed by taking healthy follicles from the donor area (usually from the back of the head) and transplanting them into the areas where baldness is developing. Since the hair extracted from the donor area is resistant to hair loss, these hairs grow back along with the newly transplanted hair and a natural look is obtained.

During hair transplantation, it could be aesthetically disturbing to have to completely shave your hair in the case of women. The technique of unshaven hair transplantation avoids this fact by opening a small window on the back of the head shaving in a way that is not visible being covered by the mane.

Depending on the number of follicles needed to repopulate the entire unpopulated area, one method or another may be used and it will be the doctor who determines it by seeing the images when the first oline assessment is requested, and again once the patient is in Istanbul during the performance that will take place prior to the intervention.

Stages in Hair Transplantation for Women:

In the case where we are not going to completely shave the head, a small area on the back of the head will be shaved in the occipital area. After the hair is released, this area will not be visible and there will be no scar indicating that the hair transplant operation was performed.

After applying local anesthesia to the patient, the follicles will be extracted one by one with a micromotor with a variable diameter of 0.6 or 0.8 mm in diameter.

Finally, and in the event that the operation is performed with the DHI method, the follicles will be implanted one by one with the help of devices called implanters in the depopulated area. In the case of using sapphire blades, the microchannels will be opened one by one where the previously extracted follicles will be implanted, taking into account the direction and angle of hair growth.
